At Rooster's Crow Coffee Roastery, we love coffee and all it has to offer!

Our passion is to reach the 800 potential flavor notes that can be found in coffee cherries grown around the world.  Everyone knows that grapes can produce a wide range of flavors in wines. But the 200 potential flavor notes from grapes grown around the world pales in comparison to what coffee offers. It is our passion to bring that knowledge to everyday people. So, why do so few people know about this? One reason is that most coffee sold in the US is a blend of many different regions. That can be a great thing since blending complementary flavors can be fantastic. But blending based on commercial concerns often destroys the unique flavors and results in a mediocre final product. Another reason most coffee fails to have those meaningful cupping notes is that many coffee beans are burned during the roasting process evaporating most of the cupping notes. Roasters get these cupping notes in light roast for this reason. There is a difference between Flavor and cupping notes. It’s important for the reader to understand that if you read cupping notes on a coffee and you choose to buy a medium or a dark roast those notes will disappear in the roasting but it doesn’t mean the flavor will disappear, it will just change to a little smoother, mellower flavor in a medium and a little smokier robust flavor in a dark. Our passion is to show people how enjoyable coffee can be according to your flavor pallet.

We specialize in single-origin coffees. We enjoy the special characteristics that each origin presents, with its unique soil, climate, altitude, care, and cultivation. Our focus is high altitude Arabica beans, although there are also some phenomenal Robustas that we would enjoy roasting and selling in the future.

Here at Rooster’s Crow, we are just scratching the surface of our vision. We hope to continue to expand and explore more quality coffees as our journey continues.
